| Malaysia International Jewellery Fair ends with successful note | | July 22, 2009 (Malaysia) |  |
 Malaysia’s largest jewellery fair ended with successful note as more than 10,000 of jewellery connoisseurs from Singapore, Thailand, China, Canada, UAE as well as Britain thronged the fair, strengthening its position as Malaysia’s most sought after jewellery fair. This mega exhibition was staged from 9-12 July at the internationally acclaimed exhibition ground, the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Some 200 booths by both local and foreign traders and jewelers are showcasing some of the finest and one-of-a-kind pieces at the exhibition.
With immense supports received from Government; Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board and Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE),renowned oversea association Hong Kong Jewellery & Jade Manufacturers Association, it is enable MIJF 2009 to tandem a bigger role in promoting Malaysia and escalate to international standard as jewellery trading catalyst.
Although being challenged by the current economic state globally,
the show provided an efficient and effective way for business and networking. Exhibitors reported having very positive results this year’s show despite the economic slowdown. Business deals and sales conducted during the course of MIJF 09 were reported as very productive.

The ambience of Opening Ceremony was phenomenal with the presence
of Malaysia super star- Queen of Jazz - Dato’ Hajah Sheila Majid and Professional Violinist - Joanne Yeoh to perform at the opening ceremony. The dazzling jewellery-fashion show featuring top models parading exquisite jewellery pieces sponsored by Profit Gem Jewellery, jewellery manufacturer from Hong Kong. Evening dresses provided by Carven Ong Couture had added mesmerize to the dazzling pieces.
This year, MIJF 2009 continues to play its role as a conducive trading platform for traders, connoisseurs and buyers alike, with synchronized the ever first informative seminar in Malaysia by GIA Thailand to gain optimum mileage in business trading and to keep abreast with the industry’s latest news and information by speaker from Gemological Institute of America (GIA) - Mr. Alexander Ross, acclaimed gemologists.
Another main highlight will be the exclusive VIP Lounge, a networking platform specially dedicated to our valued VIP guests and elite group.
