India’s leading destination for fashion online, Myntra, hosted a live fashion show at the Times Square, New York on July 13. The fashion show set a benchmark in democratising fashion with live engagement for shoppers in India, as they shopped on the go. Myntra drifted away from conventional shores by making models express their distinct styles at the show.

The fashion show presented ‘Right to Fashion’ irrespective of shape, size and skin tone. It showcased how every person has a right to their own sense and style of fashion. They were dressed in quirkily urban, street and unique way and styled to perfection by Myntra’s style experts, said the company in a press release.

Myntra experimented with the drapes of the saree, giving this age old ensemble a modern and relevant twist that embodies the woman of today. The looks put together were mixed and matched from the outfits and accessories available on Myntra to suit various occasions. The curated attire showcased everyday wear, airport looks with funky add ons and ethnic wear, to suit various tastes and preferences.

Bollywood showstoppers Dia Mirza and Tapsee Pannu set the show ablaze with their presence. Show stoppers were dressed in saree with a twist. The fashion show also witnessed the presence of known names of Varun Dhawan, Huma Qureshi, Shilpa Shetty and Disha Patani.

The show was choreographed by veteran model and fashion choreographer Achala Sachdev and was showcased under IIFA STOMP.

"Our commitment to bring global fashion to India has taken a leap with the fashion showcase. We have received an overwhelming response from the crowds and it was great being a part of the movement. We have also introduced a shoppable video for our shoppers back home wherein they buy what they see on the ramp. We are now looking forward to continue with the momentum, magnifying the presence of Myntra with more engaging activities," said Gunjan Soni, CMO, Myntra. (KD)
