Cybèle - Vodafone ID Show special guest shows love to Dunedin

When fashion designer Cybèle Wiren arrives in Dunedin for the 2007 Vodafone ID Dunedin Fashion Show, her suitcase will be filled with stories of knights on horseback, fire breathing dragons, Andy Warhol, and 70's glam rock.

It is all part of her "Blue Blood" Winter 2007 collection she is bringing south as Vodafone ID's special guest designer for the Vodafone ID Show. The 2007 Vodafone ID Fashion Show is to be held on Saturday 10 March 2007 starting 8pm, at one of the world's "must see" heritage buildings, the Dunedin Railway Station.

"I've heard so much about ID, and I'm excited to be showing as this year's guest designer," says Cybèle. It will be Cybèle's first time showing at Vodafone ID, and today is the nationwide launch of her Cybèle Glassons T-Shirt for the Breast Cancer Research Trust across New Zealand.

High profile fashion designer Tanya Carlson who stocks the label says Cybèle's designs are "innovative, modern and humourous."

"I've had great enjoyment watching her career and orders grow." Cybèle's latest collection, first shown at Air New Zealand Fashion Week has already received high praise with Runway Reporter.com calling it "original, clever, pretty, sexy and very much of the moment," and Nylon US saying "it's the sort of stuff Debbie Harry would be proud to rock."

2006 saw the Cybèle label emerge internationally, with Cybèle travelling to show as an invited designer at the Shanghai International Young Designer Showcase, and at Australian Fashion Week in Sydney.
