Isaac Daniel Technology Designer Launches his BlueGPS -Partners with the Fashion Industry to Raise Funds for What BETTER Looks Like.
On June 22 @ the NY Times Center from 5 – 7 PM Isaac Daniel will present his miniature GPS and Satellite Personal Locator Device called BlueGPS. This location-based device can be embedded or clipped on. Mr. Daniel is asking designers to use their creativity, sense of style and vision to make prototypes of garments and/or accessories incorporating his BlueGPS. In return, the pieces will be auctioned off on Charity Buzz and 100% of the proceeds will go to the charity What BETTER Looks Like.
BlueGPS – The BlueGPS is a unique product design that features a non-invasive, real time locating ability at the push of a button. It can be used for social networking purposes or in case of distress, or an emergency.
What Better Looks Like is a charity started by 7 women who journeyed to Rwanda and the Congo in November, 2010. Their mission is:
• To help victims of the 1994 genocide in Rwanda. In 2010 an estimated 15,000 rapes occurred in war-torn Congo.
• Give support to women and orphans living with AIDS.
• Sponsor orphaned young adults in Kigali, Rwanda with four year college scholorships.
• Provide uniforms and fees to children for primary/secondary school attendance.
• Provide the elderly and disabled of the Nyarugunga Village in Rwanda with basic supplies, skills and a small start-up business fund.
Isaac Daniel is an inventor and designer of high-tech products who has created a full line of wearable technology delivered in fashionable accessories.
