Young designers kick off Cape Town Fashion Week festivities

African Fashion International partners up with Foschini, one of the largest retailers in the country, to produce the Foschini/AFI FASTRACK Day, which is designed to fast-forward the careers of young and talented designers who display an exceptional promise in the fashion industry.

Young design talent will spark a youthful vibe into the city with fresh creative designs, coupled with high energy entertainment that is representative of Cape Town's urban culture as the Foschini-endorsed FASTRACK Day kicks off the week on July 13.

The Foschini/AFI FASTRACK Day will take place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, showcasing collections by 20 young design students from five design institutions: Cape Peninsula University of Technology, Elizabeth Galloway, Fashion Academy of Design, Cape Town College of Fashion Design and Northlink College.

The city of Cape Town will once again claim its place as the epicentre of fashion design this July as the country's finest designers take to the ramp to showcase their Spring/Summer collections at AFI Cape Town Fashion Week from the 13th – 16th July.
