Nelson De La Nuez + Jared Lang; pop art becomes wearable art

Jul '11
World-renowned pop artist Nelson De La Nuez has evolved into a designer for many of his own brands and, most recently, a new collection put together for his label with well-known shirt designer Jared Lang. The shirts are men's and women's fine button-down in a variety of rich colors and vibrant prints to be released for sale in Spring 2012 for a limited time.

The De La Nuez material is a high-end satin cotton with sophisticated chrome buttons and attention to detail is taken on all shirts, including some with leather trim cufflinks. The first released shirt will feature one of the pop artist's best-selling pieces, "Club Diablo," which features a lively red devil head, redesigned by the artist for the various shirts.

The fun, contemporary images will be artfully shown on the facings of the shirts underneath the French cuffs, under the collar and up the middle lining on many. The art will peek out at you in such a way as to beautifully juxtapose against the sophistication of the shirt itself.

"My company is so excited to be working with a world-renowned and truly talented artist like Nelson De La Nuez. The partnership will bring the entire Jared Lang collection to a whole new level with the added De La Nuez pop art label because this line will represent the young, fashionable, yet sophisticated generation. They are the new trend-setters," explains Jared Lang.

The Jared Lang shirts are already sold worldwide and have been seen on such diverse celebrities as singer Bruno Mars, rapper Ice T, Chicago Cubs baseball player Angel Guzman and many more. Nelson De La Nuez already has hundreds of celebrity collectors of his art, who have mentioned their desire to get their hands on this unique, limited shirt.

The Nelson De La Nuez by Jared Lang pop shirts will debut to the retail and clothing industry buyers at ENK NYC July 17-19, COAST MIAMI 8/15-16 and PROJECT in Las Vegas 8/22-24 during MAGIC.

Nelson De La Nuez's art is decorating the models' mansion of "America's Next Top Model: Mexico" airing on 8/8/2011 throughout Latin America.
