Messe Frankfurt: focusing on sustainability
Messe Frankfurt organised the Ethical Fashion Show in Paris for the first time in September last year. “For us, holding the new Ethical Fashion Show Berlin is the next logical step towards a future with sustainable fashions”, say Olaf Schmidt, Vice President Textiles & Textile Technologies of Messe Frankfurt. “The successful concept is now well-established in the market for eco fashion and continues to have a great potential for growth.”

Messe Frankfurt is the world's biggest organiser of trade fairs for the textile sector and Germany's biggest fair and Exhibition Company in terms of turnover. With 34 events in eight countries, Messe Frankfurt covers the entire textile value chain. Its international network of experts for the trade fair and textile sectors bring together over 12,000 exhibitors and around 350,000 visitors. Ecological and socially-responsible textile production has been playing an increasingly important role in the events of Messe Frankfurt for several years.
