Designer Jasmine to showcase new plus size clothing line

Designer Jasmine Elder of the high fashion plus size clothing line JIBRI, will showcase the Fall 2011 “Live In Color” collection at Keaton's Cupboard boutique at 3126 The Plaza Charlotte, NC 28205 on November 11, 2011. Patrons will be able to purchase pieces from the new collection and some limited edition selections.
In true JIBRI style, the new collection continues to focus on superb construction, unique fabrics, vivid colors and dynamic patterns. “I love JIBRI because her vintage designs are classic, chic and you can wear her designs over and over again.” says Kristal Johnson of Boudjua. The JIBRI clothing line caters to women size 14-24.
A native of Atlanta, Jasmine Elder started creating garments at a very young age. She has lived in both New York and London as a student. She decided to start the JIBRI line in 2006 and has never looked back. The JIBRI line is dedicated to creating garments for the fashion-conscious curvy woman and is inspired by vintage cinema, music, art, powerful female figures and underground culture.
With a keen eye on construction and unique fabrics, Jasmine always thinks about the woman who will wear her garments first, then creates well structured pieces that will flatter that woman's body and express her design inspiration. "Beautiful construction, daring and extremely feminine, there is something powerful about this line which makes it stand out among the crowd.", says Lauren Marie Ding of Fat Quarter Magazine.
