Design Indaba Young Designers Simulcast 2012

As the foremost creative conference in the country, Design Indaba recognizes virtually every creative discipline, from fashion design to architecture, film, new media, graphic design, visual art, product design, interaction design and everything and anything in between.

In 2011, Johannesburg's young designers experienced for the first time the Design Indaba Conference, which was simulcast at the University of Johannesburg (UJ). The interest shown by young Jozi creative means that the Conference will be broadcast again in 2012.

Investing in design education and promoting the future of the creative industries are some of Design Indaba's key commitments. For this reason the Young Designers Simulcast (YDS) gives students and young professionals under the age of 25 the opportunity to attend a live broadcast of the main Design Indaba Conference in an alternative auditorium, at a discounted rate.

With support from the UJ Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture, YDS will once again be showing live at the UJ Arts Centre Theatre on the UJ Kingsway Campus. The University's support for YDS recognizes the benefits of collaboration with Design Indaba and the opportunity to tap into global design leadership.

Bookings are already open for the Young Designers Simulcast of the 2012 Design Indaba Conference which will take place from 29 February to 2 March 2012. For only R950 per ticket or R1 600 for two tickets, anybody under the age of 25 can experience an all-star selection of top designers, business people and thought leaders.
