Designer Mona Pali presents her Autumn Winter Collection 2012 at Wills India Fashion Week, 2012. The mood of the Monapali Autumn Winter 2012 collection is uber-haute. Lace, crochet, appliqué, thread work, gauge and tape fuse into graphic patterns and prints to blend into an easy draped silhouette in soft sensual fabrics like chiffon, satin and hand constructed woven metallic silk.
A vibrant colour palette comes to life with pink, turquoise, blue and brown dominating the collection. Indian sensibilities tune into a western mood creating a mélange of fusion wear with an accent on detachable and reversible garments.
Tradition entwined with modern sensibility, old-fashioned charm mixed with contemporary eclecticism, and a rich sensuality mingled with polished, urban serenity is the mood of Monapali's Autumn Winter 2012 collection. The collection celebrates rawness and earthiness juxtaposed with sophistication and elegance. It's an ode to the beauty of the feminine form.
Fabric: Chiffon, satin and hand constructed woven metallic silk have been juxtaposed with lycra and net.
Colours: Vibrant palette in shades of reds, pinks, magenta and turquoise comes to life with highlights in shades of wine, blue, brown and purple.

Surface treatment: Surface texturing, ornamentation and embroidery are the key elements that make up the collection. Lace, crochet, appliqué, thread work, gauge and tape all mingle in, to add a dramatic flair.
