Gucci brand presents their autumn/witnter collection at Milan Fashion Week. For Autumn Winter 2012-2013, the Gucci woman defines new facets of femininity. “This is modern-day romanticism,” explains Creative Director Frida Giannini, “A dramatic sensuality, a dark glamour. With subtle games of provocative intellect.” Like a muse with a tormented soul, who is liberated in her provocation. Refined pairings of seemingly lived-in pieces with military accents and new objects of desire. Leaving a trail of fatal seduction.

Silhouette
A symphony with a crescendo of fearless femininity and dandy indulgence. Revisited tapestry textiles and floral prints blossoming in the jacquard designs, in the applications of embroidery and printed silks. Long, dreamy dresses, short harness jackets and equestrian-style pants. Daring in a game of contrasts. Shaded black, forest green, plum. Oversized coats, smoking jackets, and chiffon inserts on the blouses with harnesses. Uniform-inspired dress coats and soft velvet skirts. Exotic animal prints, dark feathers and leather capes. Tight waistlines with belted dresses and soft bows on the pajama-style suits. Through to pleated ruffles that ascend on the silhouette. Up to the neck, brushing against it like the cup of a flower.

Evening
Intangible femininity caresses the skin. With long dresses in double layers of wrinkled tulle. Embroidered with floral patterns of micro crystals and sequins masterfully sewn by hand. Three-dimensional flowers, worked onto the body for new Pre-Raphaelite goddesses.

Materials
Brocades and leather. Velvet and silk. A pavé of feathers in iridescent midnight green. Fur worked for a lean, masculine effect. Mixing goatling and shearling. Mink inlaid on chiffon.

Accessories
An equestrian influence. Revisiting the metallic spur closure for the new Stirrup bag. Clutches and soft saddlebags in black crocodile for daywear. A more structured version for cocktail. Flat riding boots and patent or suede slippers heightened by a sharp heel. Small glasses with round lenses and large bijoux, with chokers and earrings composed of geometric islands in textured resin.
