Young Taiwanese fashion designer Hsieh Jen-hsin has showcased his most recent collection at a major fashion show in Japan.

Hsieh's collection named “Zoo” comprises of six plain white suits featuring animal shapes prepared from felt fabrics.

According to Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF), Hsieh is the first Taiwanese designer who got the honour of being formally invited to showcase his collection at “Rooms” exhibit, an international fashion industry trade show in Japan.

The 24-year-old designer, who drew inspiration for his designs from animals like giraffes, crocodiles and elephants, said by epitomizing animals in apparels he wants to send the message that wildlife is an indivisible part of human existence, and that we greatly owe to the sacrifices made by animals for our sustenance.

The young designer, who recently graduated from the Shih Chien University's Department of Fashion Design, is also a winner of the 2011 Taiwan Fashion Design Award under the aegis of the Ministry of Economic Affairs.

Open only to professional buyers and designers, the trade show organized by Japanese fashion designer Mika Sato featured around 400 labels from 23 countries and regions.

The fair is being held biannually since 2000 and its features the newest fashion trends in Japan and nearby countries.
