The idea behind bringing IFFTI to India is to further enhance the exposure for students and provide a platform to bring industry leaders together to discuss the scope and future of fashion and design education industry. Multicultural transformation in fashion, rise of retail and brands in India, presence of India on the map of fashion and design are some of the issues that will be discussed at the event.
A home grown entity with a 19 year heritage, PAF has over the years shaped the careers of scores of designers and entrepreneurs in areas ranging fashion design to fashion styling and image design, textile design, communication design, interior architecture and design, interior product design, jewellery design, fashion media communication, fashion business management, fashion retail management, fashion production, fashion merchandising and much more. Nikhil Mehra, Mandira Virk, Abdul Halder, Manish Gupta, Rohit Mittal and Harangad Singh are among the leading Indian designers who have walked through the corridors of PAF.

The International Foundation of Fashion Technology Institutes (IFFTI) was registered as a Society on 14 October 1999. Since then, IFFTI has grown into the most comprehensive and prestigious international organisation representing leading fashion higher education institutions in areas of design, technology and business.
