In front of an excited crowd Emmanuel Ray gave a short speech thanking everyone who came to the opening, his publicist David J Mann, director of Highmore PR, and Fashion Week Gibraltar's organiser and fashion designer Reene Weston. He then proceeded to cut the red ribbon allowing everyone to start their Fashion Week experience.

Emmanuel had this to say about the opening, “What an amazing experience it was. I loved everything about Fashion Week Gibraltar, from the various emerging fashion and accessories brands to the sexy Lingerie fashion shows, the beautiful Miss Gibraltar contestants, hot models and the amazing hospitality of the locals.

“Meeting the socialites and partying and sightseeing with the gorgeous Caprice Bourret was a lot of fun! Taking photographs and signing autographs with the public, and enjoying delicious local food with fashion photographer Aidan Montero and model Scally Torres are experiences I will treasure forever!”

The Casemates gallery held a number of exciting brands which included Caprice Bourret's stunning by Caprice lingerie and swimwear range, top high street brand Oasis and organiser Reene Weston's own gorgeous clothing range R by Reene Weston.

Emmanuel Ray received a variety of gifts by unique brands exhibiting at the event; bags by Tressmore Designs, handmade jewellery by Sabrina's Jewellery, Kate Davies, BRT Bits and MM Design, hand painted scarves by Sienna Rose Designing, clothing and accessories from Trends Gibraltar and hand crafted designer jewellery from By Angie.

Emmanuel went on to view the catwalk shows and had the pleasure of meeting Henry & Priscilla Sacramento in the front row. The couple are renowned for their charity work in Gibraltar and spent a considerable amount of time introducing Emmanuel to their friends and telling him all about the country.

Other brands showcased at Fashion Week Gibraltar were Touché Lingerie, Amanda Adams Couture, Andrea Galer, Flamingo Therapy, Jane Langdon, Krickets and Beata Guzinska.

Emmanuel and Caprice cut the Fashion Week Gibraltar celebratory cake.
