Italian fashion house Prada opens first store in Ukraine

Prada opens its first mono-brand boutique in the elegant Khreshatyk Passage in Kiev, Ukraine the top luxury shopping destination of the city.
Designed by Architect Roberto Baciocchi, the shop covers a surface of 554 square meters on two levels and is totally dedicated to Prada womens' leather goods, accessories, shoes and clothing collections.
The shop front, with wide windows also on the first floor, unveils the characteristics of the elegant interior.
The ground floor, dedicated to leather goods, opens onto an area characterized by soft surfaces covered with pale green fabric, and walls made with polished steel and glass cases.
The area dedicated to accessories, eyewear and small leather goods features Marquina marble and mirrors, and the shoe department is equally distinctive with its curved bright green velvet couches and display tables in polished steel and glass.
The whole composition is enriched by the chequered flooring with Marquina veined black and white marble, a classic element pinning down the identity of the Prada brand all over the world.
The display cases in perspex, glass and polished steel are matched with saffiano leather in bright colors to create a lively ambience.
On the first floor the setting is richer: a pale green curtain covers the walls and it divides the rooms. Here the display cases in perspex and steel and the bright and transparent skylight, highlight the clothing collection.
A sophisticated and very feminine atmosphere defines the special clothing hall furnished using tables with novel shapes and the “Clover Leaf” couches designed by Verner Panton and especially built for Prada.
