Creative campaign shoots for Perth Fashion Festival face

Michelle Jank, one of Australia's most talented stylists has teamed up with an incredible cast of talent including Pierre Toussaint, renowned fashion photographer, make-up artist, Nicole Thompson, and hair director to the stars, Brad Ngata for L'Oreal Professionnel, over the weekend in Sydney to deliver Perth Fashion Festival's (PFF) 2012 campaign featuring a unique combination of fresh bold colour with a sophisticated edge.

Perth Fashion Festival will take place from 19-25 September 2012.

The creative campaign shoot also revealed this year's Festival Face for 2012, Nicole Pollard, who provided the perfect canvas for some of WA's most exciting established and up-and-coming fashion design talent including Ellery, Costarella, Morrison, Ae'lkemi, Ange Lang, Zhivago, Poppy Lissiman and Reny Kestel Millinery.

Commenting on the Face of 2012, PFF Director Mariella Harvey-Hanrahan said: “Nicole's cool, individual edge epitomises the look of the moment and she is the ideal fit to work with our super-talented creative team and front this year's PFF campaign.”

“Attracting a tremendous level of national and international industry attention, Nicole is the perfect Face to take PFF to new heights in 2012 and as one of Chic Management's most in-demand models, it is great to have the opportunity to work with a model who is destined to be Australia's next international superstar!” Ms Harvey-Hanrahan added.

“We are always looking to build on the Festival's past successes by building the brand both nationally and internationally to provide WA's designers with an entry into new and exciting markets,” Ms Harvey-Hanrahan said.
Michelle Jank, creative consultant and a proud Western Australian acknowledged the exciting opportunities available to the State's creative industry.

“I believe there is something really special that comes from the isolation of growing up in Perth. It teaches one to be resourceful and to strive for your dreams. I am always proud to hear of Western Australians' successes and I think it's important for Western Australians in the industry to support each other,” Ms Jank said.

"I am honoured and delighted to be working on this year's Perth Fashion Festival creative campaign. It is a wonderful opportunity to promote the best of Western Australian design.”

Perth Fashion Festival is supported by the State Government through Eventscorp, the Department of Culture and the Arts and the City of Perth.

The 2012 campaign images and further information on PFF 2012 program of events will be unveiled in coming weeks.
