Following the success of the special edition bags in 2010 and 2011, Gucci is pleased to introduce a range of exclusive bags frm the classic Emily line and ‘One of a Kind’ New Bamboo bags for India, exclusively available at the House’s four boutiques in Mumbai and New Delhi. The collection features exceptional day wear bags in iconic styles with the mark of outstanding Gucci craftsmanship and quality.
There are five New Bamboo bags as part of this exclusive collection and they will be available in three exclusive leathers including a glimmering Gold Crocodile, a Gold perforated Diamante pattern on black leather and a refined pastel pink. The pastel pink version will be available in three sizes. Created in 1947, the New Bamboo is one of Gucci’s most beloved and successful handbag creations.
These bags are elegantly trimmed with bamboo fringed tassels and have a bamboo closure. The internal organization features a coin purse and zippered pockets and the sober iconicity of the Bamboo details makes this bag iconic. Each of these bags are ‘one-of-a kind’ and will feature an embossed ‘India Exclusive’ tag on the mirror case.
The Emily bags come in three sizes, a cocktail version, a roomier version that is perfect to double up as a daywear and cocktail bag, and a tote. The cocktail bag is available in champagne, the roomier daywear-cocktail bag is available in beige leather perforated with a gold diamante pattern and the tote is available in a wheat ostrich. The bags are characterized by elegant chain straps and an iconic horsebit detail on the front flap. Each of these bags feature an ‘India Exclusive’ metal plaque on the inside.
This new limited edition collection will be available in Mumbai and New Delhi from September 2012.
