UK fashion designing student wins 'Feel the Yarn' contest

At the halfway point between the training project and the competition, Feel the Yarn has brought to Florence and Pitti Immagine Filati 20 young designers that have participated this year with “battle it out” from 4th to 6th July presenting their garments at Pitti Filati, designed and knitted using the yarn of one of the fourteen companies involved in the project.

The theme of the 42 competing creations: From Material to Immaterial.

Xiao Li has clear ideas about her personal concept of "Fashion": influenced by modern issues that relate to the theme of environmental sustainability, the young designer has developed her own successful knitting around the idea of ??recycling through reuse of denim fabrics, exploring a new era of yarn.
