The Create Green Breakfast on the last day of the event shed light on the subject of jeans. A panel discussion featured input from Franz F. Alt, Managing Director of Freshtex, Jana Kern, Kern Kommunikation, and Selma Yasdut, Managing Director of the Sey Organic Jeans label. The numerous and diverse audience responses at the end of the panel gave rise to a thought-provoking discussion that explored very different aspects of the topic.

Exhibitor voices:

KOMODO, UK – Joe Komodo, Owner

"For us, Berlin Fashion Week is an important tone-setter for the season. Compared to the first event, the Ethical Fashion Show has evolved. We believe that the trade fair is well on its way to establishing itself as a fixture."

room to roam, Germany - Akela Stoklas, Designer & Managing Director:

"I think it is great that Messe Frankfurt has created an ongoing platform for green fashion. I have been able to make good new contacts and receive orders. The quality of the contacts has been excellent; there were individual retailers and representatives from concept stores there, as well as dealers looking to expand their traditional range of products. You notice that a lot of people are paying serious thought to expanding their segment into green fashion."

SEY Organic Jeans, Germany – Selma Yasdut, Owner

"This was our first time attending the Ethical Fashion Show Berlin as exhibitors. The visitors who came were really focused, which in turn meant focused meetings. It was also interesting to see which conventional retailers were looking at the issue of sustainability."

Studio JUX, Netherlands - Carlien Helmink, Founding Member:

"We were especially impressed by the combination of sustainability and fashion at the Ethical Fashion Show Berlin, which is what brought us back this time. The quality of the visitors was good, we were able to make some new contacts and strengthen existing ones."
