Natalie O’Hare, from the University of Salford, is the winner of the fourth Warehouse Design Competition. After the success of last year’s decision to search for new talent in photography as well as design, Rachel Hannaway, also from the University of Salford has been selected as the winner of the photography category.

The competition asks course tutors from many of the UK’s leading universities, who are members of the British Fashion council’s (BFC) Colleges Council to submit portfolios from this graduating year for consideration.

A panel of industry judges chose the winning portfolios for exceptional design ability and creative vision which encapsulates the Warehouse brand.

This year’s panel included Lisa Byrne, Design Director and Jennifer Roebuck, Marketing Director at Warehouse; Anne Tyrrell, Chair of BFC Colleges Council; Caroline Rush, CEO of the BFC and Katherine Ormerod, Fashion News and Features Editor at Grazia.

Both winners are awarded the unique opportunity to join Warehouse for a sixth month paid design placement, post-graduation and allows them to follow the full journey of the collection development from the initial design process, through production, to campaign creation and marketing the collection launch.

Natalie O’Hare, design winner will see pieces from her graduate collection produced and sold exclusively in selected Warehouse stores nationwide. Rachel Hannaway, photography winner will shoot the campaign for the collection.

“We are thrilled to be continuing our partnership with the British Fashion Council’s Colleges Council though our yearly search for graduate design talent. After expanding the competition last year to also include a photography winner we are really excited to see this year's winner's collection come to life.” - Jennifer Roebuck, Marketing Director at Warehous.
