The JADE Bridal Heirlooms Collection 2012/2013 by designers Monica & Karishma pay homage to today’s contemporary bride. The collection is available in store now – at the JADE store in Peddar Road, Mumbai and at the OGAAN flagship store in Hauz Khas Village, New Delhi.

Global influences are evident throughout the Collection, modern sleeveless jackets and jewel encrusted corsets pair up with rich structured lehengas to give the traditional bridal ensembles a contemporary twist. An air of romance and elegance is lent to the collection with the use of lace.

The colours are warm and yet striking; delightful pastels, mustard yellows, coral oranges, coral reds and royal blues with nuances of shocking pinks, stone grey and patina greens.

True to JADE’s DNA, the embroidery and ornamentation is exquisite. Hues of gold, copper and bronze used in perfect harmony to create stunning textures are a revelation this season. A striking feature are the new opaline gemstones used to create exciting jewel like ornamentation, these gemstones glow from within and are sure to make the bride the cynosure of all on her wedding day. Fascinating and detailed embroidered borders make stunning hemlines and are a break away from the staid.
