Lady Gaga dons Hedi Slimane's latest outfits

American singer songwriter Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, better known as Lady Gaga, has become the first celebrity to don an ensemble from the recently unveiled Saint Laurent Paris’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection, designed by the French brand’s creative director Hedi Slimane.

The pop singer was initially seen in a 1970s inspired rock chick outfit, a combination of a sequinned jacket and a flowing black skirt.

The 26-year-old singer also sported another look from the same collection, which was a billowing, tan maxi dress, at the Yoko One Grant for Peace event in Iceland.

Both the outfits were showcased at Hedi Slimane’s catwalk show at the recently concluded high-profile fashion event Paris Fashion Week.

The 44-year-old designer’s debut collection for the French fashion label Saint Laurent Paris (formerly Yves Saint Laurent or YSL) at Paris FW featured Tuxedo jackets, slim leather jeans, billowy sleeved maxi-dresses, sequined evening wear, gold chain fringed skirts and suede outfits with front lacing.

Born to an Italian mother and a Tunisian father, Slimane earlier held the position of creative director for the menswear line of Christian Dior, Dior Homme.
