São Paulo to host a great fashion business meeting in 2013

At the same time, between January 13 and 16, SÃO PAULO PRÊT-À-PORTER – 3rd International Trade Fair for the Fashion, Garment and Accessories Industry will take place at the Expo Center Norte Pavilion. Over 500 brands of apparel and accessories will occupy an exhibition area of 24,000 sqm. Besides exhibitors from the principal manufacturing centers of Brazil, the fair will have its share of international companies from countries like Italy, the United States, Spain, The Netherlands, Pakistan and Turkey. 

The 2012 edition of SÃO PAULO PRÊT-À-PORTER hosted 24,000 professional visitors, generating a lot of business for its exhibitors. For 2013, the expectation is to pass the 25,000 visitor mark. 
 
One of the novelties of this edition is the TopStyle Salon, an exclusive area for premium brands with designer fashions widely recognized in the Brazilian market, and much sought-after by the principal boutiques, and which operate with mini collections and selective distribution.
 
The two fairs are being organized by COUROMODA GROUP and they promise to shake up São Paulo by injecting over US$ 50 million into the city’s economy (hotels, restaurants, services and entertainment) during the week they are being held.
 
In the fashion market, COUROMODA and SÃO PAULO PRÊT-À-PORTER are the benchmark and the guarantee of many novelties and substantial business. Open only to professionals from the footwear, apparel and fashion sectors, the events are gearing up to receive about 110,000 visits from retailers, manufacturers and importers, and to generate immediate business and contacts that lead to sales within 60 days after the fairs. 
 
Francisco Dos Santos, president of COUROMODA GROUP, is putting his chips on the synergy that exists between the apparel and footwear sectors, and on the strength of São Paulo as a center for business, trends and consumption. "With the two fairs running simultaneously we can offer the retail sector a complete overview of the season’s fashion, rationalizing travel costs and presenting buyers with thousands of options”. 
 
Mr. Dos Santos also highlights the fact that the business week uniting COUROMODA and SÃO PAULO PRÊT-À-PORTER “finally puts São Paulo on the agenda of fashion buyers throughout Brazil and overseas. It is a unique opportunity for the footwear and apparel industries to showcase themselves in a professional and objective manner to retailers and distributor networks”.
