The Nigerian fashion industry will see a series of international buyers for the very first time in its history at the forthcoming glitzy fashion fest Nigeria Fashion Week (NFW), scheduled to take place at the country’s port city of Lagos from November 8, 2012.

Globally reputed fashion businesses like the Milan-based Camera Buyer Moda, Sak Brand Group from the United States and Australia’s TCF Global Group will attend the three-day-long event.

The affair will present six catwalk shows in all, two on each day, featuring a range of colourful creations by nearly 50 designers.

The fashion soiree would witness a range of spectacular collections from various national designers, such as Frank Osodi, Zizi Cardow, Mai Atafo and Kiki Kimanu.

The event will also showcase dazzling ensembles created by several international designers and labels, including London-based Adebayo Jones and Kosibah, Nairobi’s Kipusa Clothing as well as Omaks Designs from Washington DC.

The fashion extravaganza schedule will additionally include climate change awareness walk and tree planting exercise.

The event is being organized by Legendary Gold Limited in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Tourism, Culture & National Orientation and the World Fashion Organization.
