Rise of London as the global fashion capital is known to everybody; even the immaculate dressing style of the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton is also well-known, but the emergence of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II as the epitome of sophisticated royal fashion is something that has taken the entire world by surprise.

Angela Kelly, the Personal Assistant and Senior Dresser to Queen Elizabeth II, has penned down a book which gives an insight to the HRH’s flawlessly elegant sense of dressing.

Titled as ‘Dressing the Queen: The Jubilee Wardrobe’, the tell-all book reveals the wardrobe secrets of the graceful royal fashionista, who prefers wearing embroidered jackets woven specially by the indigenous north Americans and gets extra weights stitched to the hemlines of her dresses to avoid embarrassment in windy weather conditions.

The book also gives details about the secretively made identical version of the queen’s famous crystal and lace peach cocktail dress, which was worn by her stunt double during the legendary parachute jump alongside 007 Daniel Craig at the opening ceremony of London Olympic Games in July.

The English designer’s book on the intelligently tasteful sartorial choices of the 86-year-old monarch, who was once voted as one of the world's most glamorous women by British Vogue, additionally reveals that the HRH prefers replacing hats with headpieces after 6 p.m.
