Sushma Patel forays in Indian fashion through IRFW

Sushma Patel, the extremely-talented designer from the US, made her sensational debut in the Indian fashion industry by presenting a rollicking catwalk show at the second edition of India Resort Fashion Week (IRFW) 2012.
Her confectionary-inspired maiden collection Cupcake Massacre was a delightful riot of yummy pastels and sheer glamorous hues.
Staying true to the resort wear theme, the designer started the show with itsy-bitsy bikinis, monokinis and tankinis adorned with luminous crystals and titillating tassels.
The latter part of the show featured cute teeny-weeny skirts as well as jumpsuits with interesting necklines ranging from scooped, cowl to halter.
Young perky Bollywood actress Shehzan Padamsee walked as the show stopper for Sushma’s show in a pink satin mini-dress with mirrored bodice and a long flowy shoulder trail in sensuous black.
As the first to successfully bridge the gap between the striking beauty of traditional Indian garments and the incredible innovation of Western design, Sushma Patel’s signature style has become highly coveted among industry leaders across the globe.
