Jason Wu, the Manhattan-based Taiwanese-born fashion designer, has unveiled his latest collection titled Miss Wu for the upscale fashion specialty retailer chain Nordstrom.
Available only at the chain’s few selected stores and e-commerce portal Nordstrom.com, the ensembles of the newly launched line has a young downtown aesthetic feel to it.
The thirty-year-old designer’s 40-piece spring/summer 2013 collection includes silk and cotton mixed faille sheaths, leather biker jackets, striped blouses, colour-blocked pleated skirts, skinny pants, chiffon dresses and warm cashmere sweaters.
Jason Wu, who is a multiple citizenship (Taiwanese and Canadian) holder, commands an impressive list of clientele which includes the likes of US First Lady Michelle Obama, Diane Kruger, Jessica Pare and Emma Stone.
Founded in 1901, the US-based retailer Nordstrom operates nearly 231 stores in 31 states across the country.
