Newly graduated Nordic fashion designers compete at Vision

Bold creations surprised and amazed the audience at VISION Show Venue at 3 pm, when top fashion students from the best Nordic design schools competed in the 17th cycle.

The contestants are handpicked among the newly graduated fashion designers from nine top Nordic design schools:

- Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture, Helsinki, Finland

- Iceland Academy of the Arts, Reykjavik, Iceland

- Beckmans College of Design, Stockholm, Sweden

- The Swedish School of Textiles, Borås, Sweden

- Esmod OSLO, Oslo, Norway

- The Royal Academy, School of Design, Copenhagen, Denmark

- Kolding School of Design, Kolding, Denmark

- TEKO, Herning, Denmark

- KEA, Copenhagen, Denmark

They showed their talent to an audience of great influence. Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary, patron of Designers’ Nest, sat front row. - So did International and Danish press and scouts such as Not just a label, Vogue Italia, Sport & Street, Elle China, British Vogue, No Just a Lable and Glamour, nordic trade press, and a distinguished jury of international fashion professionals:

- Ellen Dixdotter - PR & Marketing Manager, Filippa K

- Lene Borggaard - Design Manager, InWeaR

- Bruno Collin - Co-editor, WAD Magazine

- Mok Huang - Senior Fashion Editor, ellechina.com

- Tom Steifel-Kristensen - Creative director, Mindsetters.

All eyes were on the brilliantly innovative creations and at last Camilla Jæger Jespersen from TEKO was named winner. 1st. runner up was Sophie Sälekari & Hanna-Maaria Sinkkonen from Aalto University of Art & Design.

The Prizes

- The winner of the Designers’ Nest Award will receive a cash prize of DKK 50,000.

- The winner of the Designers' Nest will be offered exhibition space at VISION for one season.

- The Top 3 of the Designers’ Nest will be honoured with an annual subscription of Sport & Street.

- All the participants will be honoured with an annual digital subscription of Sport & Street.
