BASELWORLD - luxury goods show to begin on Mar 30

Changes in the infrastructure have made the construction of multi-storey stands possible on the new "First Avenue" in the Hall of Visions (Hall 2.2) for the first time. The newly conceived "First Avenue" is designed to reflect the increasing overlap in market penetration within the watch and jewellery industries.

"First Avenue" provides a forum for the growing importance of creating and presenting luxurious high-fashion watches by traditional jewellery brands, thereby adding a valuable new dimension to BASELWORLD.

Show Director, Sylvie Ritter, is convinced that an impressive, exclusive ambiance for the presentation of new collections, has now been created in this Hall, stating: “"First Avenue" will provide the ideal quality environment for exhibiting brands. It also gives us the opportunity to respond to previous requests from exhibitors for a comprehensive re-design of the Hall's infrastructure.”

As all the established watchmakers will be exhibiting at BASELWORLD, the Show will once again supply a valuable stimulus to the watch and jewellery trade this year.

Trade fair, exhibition and convention organizer MCH Messe Schweiz AG is organizing the Baselworld show. Swiss Exhibition also rents out its facilities in Basel and Zurich to independent fair and exhibition, convention and event promoters.
