The Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival is set to kick start at the newly renovated City Hall in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia from August 25 this year.

The festival would extend a great opportunity for local, national as well as global designers to showcase their talent before an influential audience.

Considered to be one of Australia’s prominent fashion events, the show would present cutting-edge spring and summer collections of established as well as upcoming designers.

Leading fashion names including Lee Mathews, Akira, Easton Pearson and Ginger & Smart are gearing up to join well-admired designers from Queensland like Lisa Brown, Tengdahl, Sacha Draake and Maiocchi of Paddington, Gail Sorronda and Darb Couture, to immerse their brands in style and glamour by presenting their works before a well-defined and established target market.

Alongside fashion shows on a customized circular runway, the festival would also host a number of other events like high tea salon showings and discussion forums.

Besides, for the first time in its eight year journey, the show would also feature a Bridal Group Show featuring Sinnamon Park designer Rayner Lee’s vintage look collection in latte and almond hues.

The Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival is unique in the respect that unlike other industry-centric fashion events, it is a consumer-driven event, featuring the collection already on display in stores.

This allows the audience to immediately drop-in the boutiques to shop their likes at the show, without waiting for the next season, while the exhibitors get a chance to cash in on the immediate business opportunity.

Being organized by Lindsay Bennett Marketing, the festival would go on till August 30, 2013.
