Sheikha Hub to support online Islamic fashion businesses

Sheikha Hub, a hub created specifically to assist online entrepreneurs, business owners and designers in the Islamic fashion industry, was officially launched recently at an exclusive event which was held at the Publika Shopping Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The event which was graced and officiated by special Guest of Honor, Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Raja Puan Muda Perlis Tuanku Hajjah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah, a member of the Royal Family of Perlis, was also attended by more than 100 distinguished guests and dignitaries.

The first of its kind to have ever been launched in Malaysia, Sheikha Hub aims to help support both start-ups as well as seasoned entrepreneurs promote their products and services to potential customers and investors locally and in the region.

The hub will help disseminate information on their product offerings, promote collaboration between brands and businesses as well as highlight innovation and best practices through Sheikha Hub’s various channels which includes on-ground activities, innovative social networking and value-added technological services online as well as informative business initiatives such as seminars, forums and business tips from established business owners.

“There is an extraordinary pool of very creative and innovative talent here in the Islamic fashion industry. We have seen a positive growth in the number of online entrepreneurs selling muslimah-fashion related items and services and at Sheikha Hub, we aim to provide as much support as we can to these entrepreneurs,” comments Datin Norzihan Ahmad, founder of Sheikha Hub.

Apart from having access of the local support that Sheikha Hub will be providing; online entrepreneurs, business owners and designers pursuing the Islamic fashion industry will also have access to Sheikha Hub’s panel of international mentors which include leading designers - Fatma Ghanem of FufiStylist Abaya brand in Qatar; Zeina of Palestyle brand in United Arab Emirates; Farrah Adeeba of the Najjah brand, Malaysia as well as Zetty Ismail of the Sepatu brand in London.

Activities and initiatives organized by Sheikha Hub will not only benefit entrepreneurs but it will also be useful for those looking for potential muslimah modelling opportunities. The directory not only acts as a one-stop centre for customers looking to purchase the latest in muslimah-fashion related products and services, but it also acts as a centre for potential models to get in touch with local brands.
