Delhi based leading fashion designer Ranna Gill will showcase for the first time at Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2013.

Associating with Mauritius Tourism, her couture collection is inspired by the diverse blend of cultures of the popular island nation.

Synonymous with impeccable style and panache; Ranna’s creations on the ramp will bring to life the beautiful art forms of the tropical destination through a highly fashionable depiction.

Commenting on the association, the Minister of Tourism, Republic of Mauritius – Hon. Michael Sik Yuen says, ‘Mauritius’ cultural affinity has always been associated with glamour and fashion.  Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority has associated with Lakmé Fashion Week to further enhance the destination’s appeal in the Indian market.

"We have tied up with renowned Indian designer Ranna Gill for the promotion during Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2013.  She would be presenting a special couture line, highlighting the essence of Mauritius, during the event. We feel that Lakmé Fashion Week provides a pertinent platform to showcase destination Mauritius and we are looking forward to further building this association.”

Ranna added, “I am honored to be associated with Mauritius Tourism for my upcoming collection at Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2013. I have been to Mauritius and this beautiful country has greatly inspired me. The contrast of a multitude of colours, the island, set in its turquoise sea and the abundant natural beauty has influenced my creations for the upcoming show.”

“We set yet another benchmark as ‘Mauritius Tourism’ comes together with Ranna Gill to present a brilliant collection for the very first time on the Lakme Fashion Week ramp. This reinforces our commitment to constantly innovate to bring out the best of fashion that is recognized globally” said Saket Dhankar, Head-Fashion, IMG Reliance.
