The Designers’ Profiles
Julia Seregina
The basic idea of her collection is to link urban living with the needs of women in everyday life. After completing a degree in business studies and working in marketing for international companies for some time Julia Seregina decided to make her fashion-design dream come true in 2008. She has now already received many awards for her collections and was invited to showcase her Spring/Summer collection in the shop windows at Galeries Lafayette.
For her current Spring/Summer collection she fuses clear architectural shapes with clean and straightforward silhouettes presenting a seemingly aspirational mixture of knitted details and lace that make the garments look soft, feminine and summery. Julia Seregina combines sorbet and pastel shades such as berry, citrus fruit, mint and white with warm and dark chocolate, grey and metal – resembling a city in spring.
Lilia Kisselenko
This well-known Russian designer produces paradoxical combinations of seemingly irreconcilable characteristics in her collections making them look very harmonious nevertheless. Her current collection is meant to exude the femininity of intellectual independence. But women should appear defenceless, touching and naïve, nonetheless.
Light coats, raincoats, blouses and dresses form a collection with a variety of silhouettes. Fleecy silk skirts, voluminous jackets with back pleats, cropped linen pants and knitted dresses as well as blouses round off Lilia Kisselenko’s traditional and harmonious line composed of plain fits and a strong graphic message.
