David Lee Costa Pinto wins Maquintex 2013's design contest

Fashion designer David Lee Costa Pinto has won this year’s Ceara Contemporary Fashion competition at the recently held fourth edition of Maquintex 2013, an important textile equipment fair of north-eastern Brazil.
The 22-year-old fashion student, who bagged the coveted award in design category, showcased a catwalk presentation based on the contest’s theme-‘Art, Fashion and Contemporary’.
Held in Fortaleza, the capital city of Brazilian state of Ceará, the design competition placed young designers Butrago Luis Fernando Silva and Marcia Regina Ferreira da Silva on second and third positions respectively.
The three-day-long Maquintex 2013 fair displayed a variety of sewing and textile-related machineries as well as accessories, such as cutting and dyeing equipment, labels, looms and raw materials.
