American & English beauties shine at Venice Film Festival

Seems like the supremely talented mix of young and senior actresses, dressed in their dazzling attires, from the international filmdom are not ceasing to give each other a tough competition even at the red carpets of the ongoing 70th Venice Film Festival.

The teen American starlet Dakota Fanning made a spectacular appearance at the celebrity studded high-profile event, which will run till September 7, 2013, in an embellished navy blue Elie Saab gown.

The nineteen-year-old, who was at the international festival to promote her latest movie ‘Night Moves’, turned up in a showstopping dress that featured a plunging neckline and a dramatic train.

Other than Fanning, the highest contender in the fashion arena was the veteran actress Judi Dench, whose latest film ‘Philomena’ is in competition for the prestigious Golden Lion Award at the Italian event.

The 78-year-old, north Yorkshire-born actress made heads turn in a sparkling gown accentuated with sequins, beads and intricate embroidery.

Started in 1932, the annual high-profile Venice Film Festival is the oldest international film festival in the world.
