The EUR-MODA (EUR-Fashion) project, would allow designers in the fashion industry to have better quality control and carry on activities with greater ease in European countries, according to Angel Asensio, president of Association of Garment and Fashion in Madrid (ASECOM).

Speaking at the presentation of the project held in Madrid, the president said the project is extremely important at this time and it will improve the mobility and employment opportunities for designers and controllers in the fashion industry.

The project will promote the exchange of experiences and result in higher quality and professionalism, he added.

The presentation of EUR-MODA project was held in Madrid by the ASECOM and the Business Incubator of Vallecas of Spain.

The project is framed within the Leonardo Da Vinci program of Transfer of Innovation—a program designed for educational and vocational purposes, and seeks to standardize the professional skills required for the fashion industry, specifically to meet the training needs identified under the European organizations operating in the sector.

Following the presentation, a fashion show was held to support new aspiring entrepreneurs in Spain who wish to enter the fashion industry.
