Cortefiel group’s most exclusive brand presents its Spring-Sumer 2014 collection at New York Fashion Week.

On 7 September, Pedro del Hierro Madrid displayed the second collection by designer Carmen March who is the brand’s creative director at Manhattan’s Canoe Studios.

“Mariano Fortuny and his laid-back oriental aesthetics were the point of departure for this new Spring-Summer 2014 collection”, explained March, in reference to the versatile Spanish artist who was a major creative force in changing the direction of modern attitudes to fashion.

Lightweight fabrics and flowing silhouettes come in a palette that ranges from brightest white and black to a whole array of subtle greys, ivories and pastel shades, with the odd splash of coral, making for an exquisite look with a distinctive Mediterranean flavour.

Pedro del Hierro, which has belonged to Cortefiel Group since 1992, operates in 33 countries and can be found at 400 PoS, including brand shops and Cortefiel stores.

Cortefiel Group, founded in Madrid, Spain in 1880, is a European fashion leader and has a network of 1,900 shops. The Group operates in more than 70 countries through four different chains: Cortefiel, Pedro del Hierro, Springfield and Women’secret.
