A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Londoners to gape at the personal wardrobes of Princess Diana, Audrey Hepburn and Elizabeth Taylor can be availed at the Fashion and Textile Museum’s ongoing exhibit on the foremost British couture label Bellville Sassoon.

Titled as ‘The Glamour of Bellville Sassoon’, the retrospective event features an inexpensive collection of nearly 150 dresses sourced from several fashionable royals like the Duchess of Cornwall and Princess Anne as well as yesteryear’s socialites.

Scheduled to run through January 11, 2014, the exhibits include an exclusive white organdie ball-gown with green ribbon sash and a butterfly and floral embroidered green satin bodice and a straight skirt ensemble.

In addition to the organdie and satin pieces, the event also features the late Princess of Wales’ memorable outfit which she wore after her wedding and an exquisite party dress.

The high-end fashion salon Bellville Sassoon was founded in the year 1953 by socialite Belinda Bellville with designers David Sassoon and Lorcan Mullany.
