The stand-alone event, Curves. Couture. Chicago., will feature some of the city’s trendiest and fashion-forward curvy designers and boutiques, including Chocolate Sushi Couture, SoundChick Accessories, Bonjour Madame, Blair Chic Boutique, Jack Cave Designs, Inc. and an exclusive showcase of The Steve Harvey Collection for big and tall gentlemen.
"Chevrolet is proud to sponsor Curves. Couture. Chicago. for its inaugural event. We're delighted to be part of an event that celebrates fashion and design, which has been an inspirational starting point in the design of our vehicles," says Jocelyn Allen, Director of Regional, Grassroots and Diversity Communications for General Motors.
Hosted by Val Warner, co-host of ABC’s top-rated morning talk show Windy City Live, Curves. Couture. Chicago. will treat audiences to a flashback of the roaring twenties, complete with runway showcases, live jazz musicians, special appearances by award-winning Chicago youth ensembles FORUM Dance Theatre and Footprints Tap, and an up-close look at the stunning new 2014 Chevy Impala.
"I’m so excited to be part of an event celebrating the beautiful curves so many of us women possess, the brilliant fashions we love to dress those curves in and the gorgeous city where we strut our stuff!" says Val Warner. "This fashion show is going to be hot and if you aren’t there, then shame on you. You’re going to miss a treat!"
For 2013, Project ThYck has partnered with The Project HUGS Foundation to raise money for the ground-breaking surgical nonprofit, which helps the uninsured receive life-saving surgeries and procedures.
"Project HUGS could not be more proud to be partnering with such a wonderful group to help spread our mission," says Kati Scronce, Executive Director. "Proceeds raised will go to support our surgical program, ensuring that we can provide more individuals with the procedures they desperately need, but cannot afford."
