Valentino, D & G show creations at Bahrain's Moda Mall

The ongoing Fashion Festival 2013 at Bahrain’s ultra-modern shopping destination, Moda Mall, witnessed an exclusive fashion show, where world renowned fashion houses Dolce and Gabbana (D & G) and Valentino, presented their latest Autumn/Winter 2013 collections.

The fashion show, hosted as part of the Fashion Capitals of the World event, also saw collections from fashion house KENZO, founded by Japanese designer Takada Kenzo, UAE-based Al Dana Cloaks, and Saudi Arabian designer Fawzia Al-Nafea.

The two-week fashion festival, organized in collaboration with Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, will run till October 12, 2013, featuring various fashion-themed initiatives such as the Fashion Illustration Exhibition, llustration MasterClass, Fashion Capitals of the World Exhibition, Women’s Art Exhibition by Saudi artists, and various other competitions.

The festival’s ‘Fashion Illustration Exhibition’, displays sketches and designs by leading Russian fashion illustrator Veronica Kemsky. Ms. Kemsky also conducted an Illustration Master Class for 15 illustrators who won the fashion illustration competition, which was held prior to the festival.

The high-end fashion festival aims to showcase branded collections of garments, accessories and other lifestyle products from each of the key fashion cities such as London, New York, Paris and Milan.

The Moda Mall, located in Bahrain World Trade Center, in the capital city of Manama, houses the largest and most elaborate array of top luxury retail stores in the country.
