Riga Fashion Week to feature new & seasoned talents

Young and experienced designers are gearing up to showcase their latest Spring/Summer 2014 collections at the forthcoming 19th edition of Baltic fashion industry’s most important event Riga Fashion Week.

Scheduled to take place from October 29 to November 2, 2013, the soiree, which is to be held in the Latvian capital city of Riga, will feature creations by experienced Latvian designers and some widely known brands from the Baltic region.

Famous designers like Jekaterina Shehurina, Anna Ledskalnina (from Anna LED brand), Natalija Jansone, Agnese Narnicka of One Wolf label, Narciss, BeCarousell, Nóló and Mareunrols will feature their catwalk creations at the event.

Additionally, the emerging talents like Janis Sne, Alexandra Westfal, Irina Skladnova alongside the debutants Anna Kustikova, the designer behind Sin on the Beach, and M-Couture’s Julija Sardikova will also participate at the prestigious do.

Inspired from the swimwear of the 1930s, Amoralle will feature an exquisite collection, comprised of the splendour of evening dress and comforts of a refined nightwear. The line will include open back night dresses, floor-sweeping robes and lingerie in black and white colours.

Natalija Jansone will present her light and airy fabric made line Ibiza at the event. Meant to be worn for both business meetings and parties, the range includes silk, viscose and cotton gowns, printed specially in Italy.

Commenting on the upcoming event, the president of the Baltic Fashion Federation Elena Strahova, said, “The Riga Fashion Week earned wide recognition outside the Latvian border, because this fashion platform has been able to highlight both domestic as well as foreign fashion design talents. Each new season the fashion week adds few bright new names to the Latvian fashion industry.”
