UIA debuts Kamenskakononova travel accessories line at UFW

Within the framework of long-term partnership with Ukrainian Fashion Week, UIA – the leading Ukraine`s carrier – initiated the launch of the Airline and the best Ukrainian designers joint program aiming at creating capsule travel accessories` collections.

The first project was launched jointly with designers Natalia Kamenska and Olesia Kononova whose KAMENSKAKONONOVA brand won the title of Best Accessory Designer at BEST FASHION AWARDS, Ukraine.

“First, KAMENSKAYAKONONOVA for UIA collection comprises distinctive, unique, special edition designer items. Creating the accessories we thought about the most important items needed for comfortable journeys, the so-called hand luggage must have. The collection also consists of garment cover, handbag, beauty bag, elegant ladies Gavroche, sleep mask, terry socks, and bracelet with aircraft-shaped charms, – notes Natalia Kamenskaya and Olesia Kononova.

They add, “We sought to create an outstanding, delightful and eye-catchy collection. Color print which can be found on each of the accessories symbolizes flying, the joy of traveling, longitudes and parallels, infinite number of routes and destinations”.

“Since its establishment UIA is closely related to fashion industry since UIA connects Ukraine with many fashion capitals of the world. Early December Bangkok will fall into line with such classic UIA fashion destinations as Milan, Paris, London, and Dubai. Beijing and New York are to follow, – noted Alexandra Zhestova, UIA Marketing and Communications Director. – We are proud of Ukrainian designers and seek to work together to promote Ukraine`s image on international markets and once again prove the Airline`s willingness to keep up with fashion”.

UIA and Ukrainian Fashion Week partnership started several years. In spring 2012 jointly with UFW and EuroFashion special project UIA held a fashion contest offering young Ukrainian designers to create sketches of UIA cabin crew outfit. In 2013 UIA traditionally became the UFW official carrier providing designers and members of creative teams attending international fashion events with tickets for UIA flights.
