This year Raffles Institute of Higher Education (RIHE) hosted a stunning show at the Fashion Tent of Senayan City on the third day of the Jakarta Fashion Week. Not less than multi-themed 48 pieces of RIHE Jakarta, RIHE Singapore and RIHE Sydney designers were exhibited.

Ivon Limadhy with four pieces of “Liberti Fatali” opened the first sequence. The designer who just recently achieved the Advanced Diploma of Fashion Design RIHE showcased the modern design dominated by leather and unique embellishment.

It was immediately followed by “Punk Paradox” by Claudya Marthen, who transformed the inspiration of punk spike studs into leather jacket, and combined them with graphic patterned material and transparent bag.

Peggy Hartanto the alumni of RIHE Sydney, presented “Quantum”, the classy 2014 Spring/Summer collection with ruffles detail and see-through material.

Meanwhile, Lusiana Liau carried out the feminine vibe through floral pattern and froufrou accent uniquely combined with stone embellishment. Then “ABOCS”, the fashion label by Catherine Soepadi brought a winter collection with the dominating fur in Men’s Wear and pleats-meets-lace in Women’s Wear.

The next sequence showed the avant-garde collection with futuristic line of Valentine Lidya, who revamped clear plastic material into creative-futuristic wardrobe with graphic weaving pattern. Still in the “grande” nuance, Daniella Grace exhibited four romantic pieces with crinoline commonly used by the 17th century women.

Steffie Setiawan closed the show with the houndstooth pattern nicely carried out in long jacket and tweed blazer ala winter wear. Everyone was astonished by these greatly talented alumni of the institute which now has 34 chapters spread in 31 cities and 12 countries in Asia-Pacific and Middle East.
