Indposhiv bespoke studio debuts 100% hand stitched suit

For the first time ever the best tailor of the British Tailors Guild, the tailor of the British Royal family Richard Anderson has come to Ukraine on the invitation of Indposhiv workshop and Katya Vozianova.

On November 21 there was held a unique meeting with the British tailor Richard Anderson. Along with the meeting with the Savile Row legend there was held the main event - the presentation of the B1 suit, the unique suit for Ukrainian market of classic menswear. B1 suit is 100% hand-made by Indposhiv bespoke- studio.

Richard Anderson has dedicated over 30 years to his work. He joined the traditional Savile Row shop as a 17-years-old youngster, and since then has been developing the legendary traditions of the industry.

During his visit to Kyiv Richard Anderson, held a master class for the best tailors of the country. Richard brought several men's suits for the master-class in order to share his experience. Surely, each Savile Row client has his own individual paper templates.

The workshop did not unveil the name of the clients, yet Richard showed some sample templates, templates for George Michael and King of Spain including.

The main goal of the Richard’s visit to Ukraine was to assess the B1 suit by Indposhiv (Ukraine), which is a 100% handmade suit, as each stitch is made by hand, with little or no use of modern machine technology.

The masters of Members Indposhiv bespoke- studio have been studying the experience of Italian and British tailors for several years, they have been practicing in the best British studios and have been implementing the obtained experience creating the suits by Indposhiv.

“B1 is a suit that is traditionally made by hand. The only machine operations, which were carried out while tailoring the suit are a shoulder and side seams. Surely, it takes more time to create this suit, yet, the masters of Kyiv Indposhiv studio need 2-3 fittings to fit it. To be more precise, it took them 11 days to create this costume, which is less than British tailors need, but which doesn’t make any negative impact on the quality.

Richard himself expressed the interest in the suit and applauded the professionalism of Ukrainian masters: “Unlike traditional British cut, the shoulder of this suit is more comfortable and the silhouette is more fitted".
