Georgina Burke picked as gorgeous new face of Torrid

Torrid declared 2014 the year of the bombshell, with the introduction of Australian beauty Georgina Burke as its 2014 Swimsuit Collection cover girl – and the gorgeous new face of Torrid. Starting on Feb. 10, Georgina’s sexy cover girl photography will be on Torrid’s 2014 Swimsuit Edition catalog, in the windows of Torrid stores nationwide.

“As we looked at the photos of super sexy Georgina in our new swim collection, we couldn’t help but wonder how she’s not on the cover of the swimsuit edition of a national magazine – just because she’s a size 14/16,” said Liz Muñoz, senior vice president of product development at Torrid. “68 percent of American women wear a size 12 and up, yet are still labeled ‘plus size.’ We say – forget the labels. We know real beauty when we see it. And this is it.”

As a size 18 teen growing up in Brisbane, Australia, 23 year-old Georgina never imagined she’d be a sexy cover girl. As she’ll tell you herself, Georgina didn’t fit in with her peers because of her size. She took another path to acceptance through equestrian competition, which built her poise and confidence. Today, Georgina is a successful model living in New York and the gorgeous face of Torrid. Her advice to others? “Love yourself. Be yourself. And wear what you love.” And she does.
 
The Torrid 2014 Swimsuit Collection
Designed specifically for stylish young women who wear sizes 12-28, the sizzling Torrid 2014 Swimsuit Collection will be available in stores and at Torrid.com. The collection includes a sexy array of one-pieces, tankinis, midriff-baring swim tops and bikini bottoms – designed and fit with five figure-flattering features that enhance all body types. The result: Torrid’s sexiest swimsuit collection yet.
