Gaurav Gupta, one of the youngest couturiers in the country (Altaroma Altamoda honoured Gaurav with the ‘Future of Couture’ title) adds yet another feather to his cap, with his forthcoming show at the Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai in March 2014, in a fitting collaboration with the world renowned UK based jewellery label Mawi Keivom. This will be the avante garde designer's first foray with the LFW.

In recent times the Gaurav Gupta Woman has been about the rapidly changing progressive choices, exposure and attitudes of women not only in India but globally.

Eminent women personalities who have made headlines dressed in Gaurav Gupta couture include Lady Victoria Harvey, Dannii Minogue, Paris Hilton, Nicole Scherzinger and Carmen Electra while closer to home Deepika Padukone, Aditi Rao Hydari and Kalki Koechlin have regularly chosen to wear Gaurav Gupta at glamorous red carpet events.

The couturier who is a graduate from Londons Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design with a store at DLF Emporio (New Delhi), has also been honored with a nomination from the prestigious World Architectural Awards as one of the five best retail spaces worldwide!

Gupta, who has known Keivom for many years, says he welcomed the chance to collaborate with Mawi as he was tired of regular show formats."This has been an exciting experience and the project came together very naturally. Mawi's future-primitive style resonates with my sensibility," says Gupta.

When asked about his collection Gaurav Gupta remarked,” I’m excited about creating a new mood; I’m feeling extra terrestrial right now.”
