Russian and Ukrainian designers swept the second and third day runways of the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Russia (MBFWR) with their fabulous Fall-Winter 2014/2015 catwalk parades.

Designer Yasya Minochkina from Ukraine featured a sportswear-inspired line on the second day of the event. Based on a very rich, bright colour palette, the trapezoidal shaped form-fitting dresses were made from wool and mesh materials.

Another Ukrainian talent Liliya Poustovit drew inspiration from the posters and postcards of 1950s for her collection. Infused with V-shaped inserts, the line included curve-hugging long and mid-length dresses, fluffy skirts and bulky boxy jackets in shades of black, gray, beige and yellow.

Russian designer label Gosh by Gosha Karcev featured a very chic sporty collection, made using cotton, wool, silk, wood and metal, for both men and women on the same day of the Moscow event.

The Summer Garden of Saint Petersburg played as muse behind MBFWR debutante Yulia Prokhorova’s limited-edition catwalk collection titled Euphoria. Made from fur, delicate lace and cashmere, the line included mittens, fitted skirts and voluminous dresses.

The Russian fur specialist Igor Gulyaev showcased a luxurious range on the third day of the event. Mixing elements from the pre-revolutionary Russian styles and the European modernism, the featured pieces were nipped-at-waist floor length silk and brocade dresses with deep necklines as well as smart outerwear.
