An emerging fashion designers’ award has been named after the late American fashion designer and former model L'Wren Scott.

Dubbed as L'Wren Scott Amber Award, the title has been created by the Los Angeles-based The Art of Elysium charitable organization, dedicated to the enrichment of lives of the artists and talented youth battling serious medical conditions.

The talented stylist, who had an impressive clientele of high profile actors and politicians, passed away in her New York home on March 17, 2014 at the age of 49.

Scott started her career as a fashion model and walked the ramp for big industry names like Chanel and Thierry Mugler. She launched her maiden collection titled Little Black Dress, which included several variations of the legendary LBD including the iconic Headmistress dress, in the year 2006.

The beautiful tall entrepreneur, who was primarily known for her long-term relationship with singer Mick Jagger, had made her European debut in early 2013 by showcasing her spring/summer 2013 collection in Paris.

Being a high-profile celebrity stylist, her creations were a favourite among the likes of Michelle Obama, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, Naomi Campbell, Reese Witherspoon, Christina Hendricks, Jennifer Lopez, Sandra Bullock and Uma Thurman.
