Guadalajara-born fashion talent Macario Jimenez started his show with luxe creations, decorated with beautiful floral patterns, on the second day of the ongoing Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Mexico.

Adorned with fretwork and fluffy ruffles, the satin, taffeta and jacquard made pieces, such as mermaid cut dresses and gauzy asymmetrical skirts, were enhanced with three-dimensional flower embroidery on neckline and around the waist.

Peru-raised designer Sandra Weil drew inspiration from the birds for latest Autumn/Winter 2014 line of her namesake label Sandra Weil Couture. Based on shades of emerald green, purple, beige and rose gold, the range featured low-waist dresses, panelled skirts and bustiers.

Alexia Ulibarri, the promising designer and alumnus of the widely recognized institutions like Italy’s Istituto Marangoni and London College of Fashion, told the story of an urban luxury queen from the post Industrial Revolution era through an eclectic catwalk presentation. Titled as Simona, the 42-piece neoprene and jersey fabric crafted line featured dresses and hoodies.
