Exceptional sustainable fashions will take centre stage on the runway at Portland Fashion Week, a comprehensive eco-conscious fashion event featuring young and seasoned independent designers from all over North America and across the globe.

Running into its 11th year, the Oregon event, which is considered as the country’s third largest fashion showcase after New York and Los Angeles, will feature an array of eco-couture, urban casual, street and active-wear lines for the Spring/Summer 2014 season.

Slated to take place from April 25 to 27, 2014, the ethical fashion do will feature creations from names like Sunjin Lee, Wendy Ohlendorf, Kate Troedsson, Olivia Blough, Danielle Grasseth, Christopher Murray and Courtney Elizabeth.

Young Indian sustainable clothing brand Owl Fashions will make its fashion week debut with its new catwalk collection Feather Lite on the second day of the event. The label is known for creating exceptional designs from natural fibres derived from unusual sources such as banana, flax, beechwood and plastic bottles.

In addition to the tastefully designed runway shows, the three-day-long soiree will also include a fashion pavilion, featuring more than 40 pop-up-shops selling apparels and fashion accessories from local retailers and designers, as well as a beauty pavilion offering several beauty and style related services.
